Sir Joseph Banks Conservatory
This picture is for Australia Day.
Sir Joseph Banks was from a Lincolnshire family, travelled with Captain Cook on his first voyage of the South Seas, mapped the East Coast of Australia and catalogued many types of plant found in the Southern Hemisphere. Later, he was instrumental in setting up the then colony of New South Wales and remained as an advisor to the government on Australian matters.
The conservatory is a tropical hothouse filled with the sorts of plants that Banks catalogued and is located at The Lawn, Lincoln.

Diversity
If you're restoring a WWII plane such as a Spitfire, this J Birkett shop is a must for all your vintage cockpit instrumentation needs. On the other hand, if you jumped on your Lambretta or Vespa and forgot to have breakfast then head to Modern Classics. Find them at The Strait, Lincoln.
Processed with Cinemascope in Picasa.

Local Landmark
This is one of Bracebridge Heath's landmarks known locally as the Water Tower. It's a 100yr old water pumping station situated on top of a reservoir.
The line drawing effect was created using the Comix action in Photoshop.

Sand Racing at Mablethorpe
This was on Boxing Day.
This photo was post processed using the latest version of Picasa (3.9), via the new "Fun and Useful Image Processing" Cross Processing feature.
Unfortunately Picasa 3.9 has a few bugs that need fixing before I'd recommend it. Stick with 3.8 if you can for now. In particular it has added/removed photos from a number of my Picasa Albums, spuriously added location information to a few photos (it has not changed any original photo files) and it "merges" similar photos in full screen slideshow mode. These bugs are all known to the Picasa team so hopefully we'll see a new release soon.
Before Picasa 3.9 the "Fun and Useful Image Processing" options were only available in Picnik, the online photo editor that's directly accessible from Picasa.
