Southern end of Cleethorpes.
The object on the horizon just to the left of centre is Bull Sand Fort, which situated 2.4km off Spurn Head (land at extreme left of picture). Bull Sand Fort has a companion on this side of the Humber, located a bit further south. They were started as WWI defences but were only completed in 1919. They did see active service in WWII as anti submarine defences.

Summer Has Arrived
The clouds cleared and temperatures soared into the 20s yesterday: the warmest it's been since March!
The low building housing the Prezzo restaurant was designed by local architect Sam Scorer whose signature style was the hyperbolic paraboloid roofline. When built in 1959, the building was a car showroom.

Remastered Images Available to View at New Photo Site 500px
http://500px.com/lincoln_eye
500px showcases lots of really high quality photos (something to aspire to!) and subject matter includes some glamour images that might not be suitable to view in the office or on the family computer. The site hides nude content however.
All the photos I've posted on the above link are safe for work and the family computer.
I'll be adding top rated images from this blog to the 500px photo stream from time to time.
There is a permanent link to the 500px photo stream at the bottom of this page, under "ABOUT ME".

I'm quite pleased with this action shot taken at moderate telephoto (85mm equivalent) and a relatively slow shutter speed of 1/60th second.
