This is the second big chain hotel to open in Lincoln in as many years (the other is the Hilton on the Brayford).
The building with turrets across the road isn't Lincoln Castle, but is the rear entrance to Lincoln Drill Hall (a theatre/entertainment/events venue). Lincoln Castle is in Uphill Lincoln not far from the Cathedral (centre of picture).
