Yes they do look 2D - reminds me of that scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail: "Camelot" "Camelot" "It's only a model". Tattershall Castle is real!Bergson: thanks for your comment which I received by email but for some reason hasn't shown up here. Blogger seems to do this from time to time.
Interesting- looks very old? I don't know much about east castles, just the west ones in Wales.
This building dates back to the 15th century (there has been a castle on this site since the 13th century). FYI I posted a couple of external views of the castle: one in March and one in April this year.
These must be amongst the oldest of the chimneys shown for the theme day, I mean, 15th century..that's just so fantastic.
