This is the result of a first experiment with online photo editing site pixlr-o-matic, which offers a big selection of Instagram/Hipstamatic style filters for those of us trying to process regular camera photos with our PCs. (Instagram and Hipstamatic are apps for certain types of smart phone only).
Pixlr-o-matic offers the widest choice of filters I've seen and has a nice WYSISYG interface so you can whizz through the options, seeing the results on your own photo as you go. I've just noticed it's also available as a Chrome web app so that's next to try in the Chrome browser.
