Moving Landscape
Click the play button in the middle of the image to see a first semi-decent attempt at a timelapse. It was shot at 720p using Framelapse on Android. Capture speed was 1fps and playback is 30fps. The weather was great for clouds but less good for the camera this morning. Despite being mounted on a gorillapod attached to a sturdy fence, a WNW wind was blowing onto the camera at 18mph gusting up to 30mph causing some shake (this is the best of 3 timelapses captured). At bottom right traffic can be seen starting and stopping at temporary lights due to the Canwick Road improvements. Also look out for horses and a dog walker at bottom left.

Bomber Command Memorial Spire
It's part of a new memorial to commemorate Bomber Command's contribution to WWII. The height of the spire is the same as the Avro Lancaster's wingspan (30m) and the spire is 5m wide at the bottom - the width of the Lancaster's wing. The Avro Lancaster can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/lincoln_eye/5922576247/ The memorial is not yet finished and will open to visitors later this year.

Museum at Dogdyke Steam Drainage Station
Near Tattershall Bridge, Lincs. This area was originally marshy fenland and was drained in the late 1700s by wind power to create very productive farm land. As the area is low lying it requires continual drainage (uphill) into the River Witham, hence the need for a pumping station. Today, visitors can see the 1865 steam-driven beam engine and also the diesel engine that replaced it in the 1940s - both operational. It's open on one Sunday per month, May - October.
