New Habitats

New Habitats

Whisby Nature Park has something in common with classic Dr Who: it's based on gravel pits. At Whisby about half a dozen disused gravel pits have been flooded to provide an aquatic habitat for avian attendants. Between the lakes are heathland, woodland and open grassland. An environment has been provided for humanoid visitors too: juveniles have a special area in which to learn about gavity and nearby there is a feeder for adults. There is also a gift shop.

  1. This looks a lovely place to visit, and obviously a haven for the birds. Anywhere that has something in common with Dr Who HAS to be good!
